IABC Ottawa hosts numerous networking and professional development events throughout the year, including our exciting annual event, the IABC Ottawa Excel Awards, that celebrates the region’s top communications, marketing and creative design professionals. If you have a passion for events and an eye for detail, we would be thrilled to have you join our events team. The events team is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the event planning process, working with the venue catering manager, the coordination of speakers, tracking and reporting survey results, coordinating with the registration managers, and liaising with the marketing and communications team to promote events.
Regular events include social events (season opener, holiday mixer, season closer), professional development sessions (2-hour before or after work), full-day or half-day workshops and Content Strategy Meetups (1 hour meetings with 20-minute networking, 20-minute talk and 20-minute Q&A)
