April 30 IABC Ottawa Book Club: The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell

April is Membership Month and IABC Ottawa is opening up it’s Book Club to members and non-members!

Come enjoy an open, relaxed and informal event where you can network with old friends and meet new ones. All of that while you enjoy a glass of wine and cheese! Read a review about our past book club meetings.

This quarter’s book club meeting reviews The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire. Just as a single sick person can start an epidemic of the flu, so too can a small but precisely targeted push cause a fashion trend, the popularity of a new product, or a drop in the crime rate. This widely acclaimed bestseller, in which Malcolm Gladwell explores and brilliantly illuminates the tipping point phenomenon, is already changing the way people throughout the world think about selling products and disseminating ideas.

Remember, you can loan the book from your local library.

Don’t have time to read the book – no problem! Each meeting begins with an overview of the book and the topics are broad enough that anyone can contribute to the discussion regardless if they have read the book or not.
