Prior to working at Bloomberg, Theo was the Business News Editor for Athens News and Managing Editor for New Europe. He taught economics at McGill’s School of Continuing Studies at McGill University.

Mario Carlucci, Director at CBC
Mario Carlucci spent most of his career in radio newsrooms, but has also written award-winning print stories. He currently assigns television, radio and online reporters at CBC Ottawa.
Apart from news, he’s produced current affairs and talk radio programming and has worked in both public and private broadcasting in Canada.
Carlucci led election and budget coverage and produced award-winning shows such as the one-year anniversary of 9-11 at Ground Zero in New York and the funeral of Pierre Trudeau in Montreal.
Vassy Kapelos, Parliamentary Correspondent
Vassy Kapelos is Global National’s parliamentary correspondent in Ottawa.
Before joining the Global National team, Kapelos was Alberta’s Provincial Affairs Reporter with Global Edmonton. She worked in Saskatchewan before moving to Edmonton in April 2010.
Politics and current events are Kapelos’ passions – and have been for as long as she can remember – her parents even met at a political convention. During her time in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Kapelos has covered a federal election, two provincial elections, provincial budgets and civic elections…and loved every second of it.
Kapelos has a BA (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario and an MA from Dalhousie University – both in political science. She has studied both Canadian and South American politics extensively; her Master’s thesis focused on the debt crisis in Argentina and she has published work on counter-insurgency efforts in Colombia.
