Senior Communicator Series: Healthy Living – Addressing Ottawa’s Public Health Challenge
Ottawa Medical Officer of Health Dr. Isra Levy will offer some straight talk on public health promotion and disease prevention. One of the most respected voices in the Ottawa medical community, Dr. Levy will talk about the critical role of communication in the management of the largest patient-notification process in Canadian history.
Appointed Medical Officer of Health in June 2008, Dr. Levy has guided innovative and important public health initiatives, including the response to the 2009 human influenza H1N1 pandemic, the expansion of the City of Ottawa’s smoke-free spaces legislation and, most recently, the implementation of the City’s “Healthy Eating, Active Living” strategy.
If you have been involved in communications for at least 15 years, then we highly encourage you to sign up; this is truly a singular event that promises to yield valuable information.
