IABC Ottawa has been named the International Chapter of the Year from the International Association of Business Communicators for its successful 2012-13 season.
IABC Ottawa also took home five Chapter Management Awards, with the International Chapter of the Year and Large Size Chapter of the Year at last Thursday’s awards ceremony held at the IABC Leadership Institute hosted in New Orleans, LA.
Acknowledged for its hard work and achievement in five categories, IABC Ottawa was presented with awards of Excellence for professional development, communications, community involvement, student involvement, and membership as well as International and Large Chapter of the Year Awards.
Board member Tina Barton, VP Membership, and Dyna Vink, who co-chairs the IABC national Silver Leaf Award Program, represented the Ottawa Chapter at the ceremony.
“This is a tremendous honor. Having our work recognized for excellence is an affirmation to our Board and volunteers that our hard work is truly providing value to our members and industry,” said Jennifer Birch, president of IABC Ottawa. “These awards are a great inspiration to our volunteers and Board to continue to build on our previous accomplishments as we support our members with their success and growth.”
