As part of our commitment to being the premier network for communications professionals, we strive to provide our members with a wealth of resources and opportunities to help increase their value as communicators.
From time to time, adjustments need to be made to the fee structure of IABC memberships to ensure we can continue with the same level of service and to allow us to build on our efforts. As such, IABC membership dues in Canada will be increasing on January 1, 2011. IABC uses gross national income (GNI) per capita to assign membership due tiers. After reviewing current World Bank data in September, the IABC International Executive Board (IEB) voted that rate increases would be implemented. The net effect of this decision for Canadian IABC members will be an increase of by CDN$45.76 for the year.
In order to make the transition easier, membership can be renewed at the current 2010 rate until December 31, 2010. This option is available to you, no matter where you are in your renewal cycle and for as many years as you would like to renew for.
IABC Ottawa hopes its members know and understand how much it appreciates and values their involvement with the organization. Any questions or concerns about the IABC IEB’s decision to increase rates can be directed to email@example.com.
The IABC Ottawa team has a busy season ahead with a wide range of social and networking events, workshops and professional development opportunities scheduled. As a membership-driven organization, we welcome and encourage any feedback about our chapter’s programming and we are available to address any questions and concerns.
