IABC Ottawa kicked off the month of February with some serious hardware, taking home two Chapter Management Awards at last Friday’s awards ceremony at the IABC Leadership Institute hosted in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Recognized for its hard work and achievement in two categories, IABC Ottawa was presented with a Merit award for professional development, as well as an Excellence award for sponsorship.
IABC Ottawa’s president and two local chapter board members attended the ceremony.
“It’s great to see the hard work of our board and volunteers paying off,” said Kelly Rusk, president of IABC Ottawa. “These awards represent the many accomplishments of our members, volunteers and Board, and renew our commitment to helping our community’s communicators to continue to succeed and grow.”
The IABC Chapter Management Awards recognize the leadership abilities, management skills, creativity and teamwork of outstanding volunteer chapter leaders worldwide. Leadership Institute is an international conference for IABC board members to develop skills and share ideas with other chapters globally.
