Who is the 2016 IABC Ottawa Communicator of the Year?

We don’t know yet, but we’ve been thinking about…

  • People who inspire with their messages
  • People who use new and different tools to be clearly understood
  • People who have a passion for community and for getting things done for it
  • People who are trusted mentors and leaders

IABC Ottawa members … over the last year, who in Ottawa has done that for you?

A quick recap

In 2015, Chief Charles Bordeleau was awarded Communicator of the Year. He was recognized for his remarkable accessibility and responsiveness to both the media and local citizens, especially during crisis situations.

In 2014, Helene Campbell was recognized for her passion and voice advocating for organ donations and the Give2Live campaign.

These are great examples of people who take communications to the next level. Who use all the tools they have to get a message understood, and who have made a difference in the lives of people in our community.

Who will it be in 2016?

I invite you to look around; this town is busy, there’s lots going on; who is cutting through the noise? Who is making a difference?

Time to think is now, time to nominate is coming soon.
