Call for nominations for IABC Ottawa’s Communicator of the Year

Do you recall any remarkable communications activities in the past year? Now is your chance to nominate an individual or team that made a difference in the Ottawa community through communications excellence. The winner(s) of the IABC Ottawa Communicator of the Year award will be announced at our upcoming AGM in June.

The IABC Ottawa board will review the nominations and select a winner based on the following criteria:

  • Led an exceptional communications activity in the past year.
  • Demonstrated strong communication practices in responding to or promoting the activity.
  • Role model for other communicators or teams.
  • Reflects IABC values/principles.

At the close of every IABC Ottawa season, awards are presented to recognize various members’ contributions to the IABC community and to highlight communications excellence carried out by local talent. Awards are typically presented each June at the IABC Ottawa chapter’s Annual General Meeting.

Communicator of the Year

This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of an Ottawa-based organizational leader or team who shows excellence in the field of communications. Recipients are an individual or a team who uses communications to the benefit of the citizens of Ottawa.

Volunteer of the Year

This award honours an IABC member who shows a deep level of commitment, service, success and leadership through their work with IABC and their community.

The Rick Green Award

The recipient of this award is a post-secondary student who has made a significant contribution to IABC Ottawa as a volunteer.

Distinguished Service Award

This award recognizes an IABC member who shows a deep level of commitment, service, success and leadership through their career, IABC and their community.
