About this Event
This month marks one year since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the past year, the drastic changes to our social lives, working arrangements, and means of communication and connection have put our overall wellbeing, and in turn our mental health, at risk. In this session, Nereah Felix will address wellbeing holistically, walking us through the various factors that define your wellbeing.
After this session, you will walk away with:
- An understanding of the levels and pillars of wellbeing;
- Strategies for overcoming chronic stress and other mental health challenges; and
- Knowledge of the coping mechanisms you should avoid

Nereah is currently a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying); she is in the process of completing her Master’s thesis which highlights the importance of multiculturalism training and knowledge in certified therapists. She is also a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University.
Nereah works with individuals 16 and over who are enduring the symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, addiction, self-esteem related concerns, and interpersonal difficulties. She creates a warm and inviting space that makes room for one’s authentic identity. Whether it’s race, religion, culture, sexual identity, health concerns, or neurological difficulties, she remains curious, respectful, and makes space for you as a human being.
Nereah primarily draws from evidence-based treatments, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Existential Therapy, and more. She also considers herself to be trauma-informed and incorporates that into her work with clients. In addition, she utilizes a social justice lens to guide her work as she keeps in mind society at large and institutions that may disempower or silence her client’s experiences. She enjoys providing a warm and reliable space to support clients on their journey to self-exploration, resiliency, and internal freedom.
