Melissa Arana, Director, Events Strategy

Melissa Arana, originally from Peru, is a communications specialist with a master’s degree in Strategic Communication and extensive experience in internal communications and training. Before moving to Ottawa in 2024, she led internal communications at Luz del Sur, the leading electricity company in Peru, where she developed and executed strategies to drive meaningful communication and enhance employee engagement.

Currently, Melissa is expanding her expertise by studying Marketing Management—Digital Media at Lambton College while working in the Proposals team at PCL Construction. Her passion for effective storytelling and strategic engagement continues to drive her contributions to impactful communication initiatives.
